InfoPackage - Delta Update

Former Member

Hi,

I noticed something strange. I created an InfoPackage in Dev with delta update and promoted to Q and P, but I don't see the radio button 'delta' in Q or P at all. Is it common? I could not find any thread on this in the forums.

Another issue is I am trying to create a delta infopack for 0Customer and 0Material master data load, but I don't see that option in D. Please comment.

Latha,

Adding to the above you can always create an infopackage directly in Q or P.As they said you need to do the init first.

Hope this helps..

Suresh,

I wanted to check 'very helpful' button, but for some reason that is greyed out. I can create an Infopackage in 'P', but is there a way that I can include that in the Process Chain?

Latha,

Yes you can include in Process chain..go to rspc and in edit mode include the IP from the process types.

Hope this helps..

Hi,

you always have a way to include your info pack to process chain from RSPC.

open your process chain -> click on info source icon on left side -> find your info source -> select your info pack -> drag and map to your chain based on your requirment and sequence. only thing is to run them daily add Delta info pack to chain.

A better way is to create an "Init" infopackage and run the init. Then change your delta infopackage back to "Delta". Since this is the infopackage in the process chain, there is no need to change the process chain.

All,

Thanks a bunch. It helped me to run inits, since delta was already there in the chain, I can see it automatically picked up the revised infopack.

You have to perform the init in Q or P before the Delta radio button appears. I think when you transport the delta infopackage and the init has not been performed, the radio button defaults to Init.

Hi,

To see Delta option at info pack level, you have to do Init ( Info pack -> update tab), without Init you can not see delta option at info pack level.
