Hello Experts. Is there way to transport Workbooks saved in Personal Favorites folders created in BW 3.5 to BI 7.0 and go in the same Personal Favorites Folders? Thank you for your valuable input!
Thank you both for your valuable suggestions!

Hi,
I think, you can transport the workbooks saved in personal favourites across the landsacpe (dev - quality - prod).
However, you will not be able to view them. Since personal favourites are specific per system and not transportable, as far as I understand.
You will need to assign the workbook to a role and the role to a user and then that particular user will find his workbook in that particular role.
Hope it helps,
Best regards,
Sunmit.

Two ways to do this:
1) Assign the workbook to a role and transport the workbook and the role (as Sunmit suggested above), then right-click on the workbook in the role and choose "Add to Favorites".
2) Open the workbook on the source system and save it as a local Excel file, then on the target system open BEx Analyzer (RRMX) and do a File --> Open to open the saved workbook (choose to 'Enable Macros' if prompted), then save it as a new workbook in the favorites of the target system.
You might also be able to do an export of favorites from the source system, edit the file generated to remove everything except the desired workbook, and then import the workbook as a favorite into the target system, but I have managed on at least one occasion to wipe out my favorites doing this, so I would only try this as a last resort.
Hope this helps...
Bob
