EPS means Electronic Parcel Service. The directory /in contains files .pat and .att. These files are the support package files. When you apply a support package with SPAM the first step is to extract datafile and cofile from these files. If you want to know which support package is related with each .pat file, then go to transaction SEPS --> goto --> inbox
This is not related at all with the SAP WAS Java. This kind of questions can be done in the "SAP Netweaver - Software Logistics" forum. Anyway, I hope this info is useful for you.
