Deletion of variant

While trying to delete a variant from VL06P, I am getting a message;

No Authorization to change Variant.

How can I fix this message, and how can I delete the message.

Is there any other way to do this, instead of going into the transaction code

Its an authorization issue. Once you get the message, run tcode - SU53, take a screen shot & send to your basis personnel & he / she will do the needful.

Hope the above answers your query.

Thanks, but in SU53 I am getting the message: All authorization checks have so far been successful

Please suggest,

IS there any other way to delete the variant.

How is it possible to protect a variant from deletion ... other than the owner of the variant

Did you create this variant? As to my knowledge only the person who has created the variant can delete the same.

Check & revert.

No I have not created the variant.

How can I see the name of the user who have created the variant?

I dont know if you can find it via any t-code, but you can definitely get the info from the table VARID. Enter the variant name in the field Variant & execute, the user name will show you who created & to get the user name you can check in SU01 or SU3.

Hope the above answers your query.

Well, i wouldn't know what you're looking for in variants. Anyways for this specific query, you can infom the person who has created it to delete the same & the issue should be resolved.

If the above inputs helped to resolve the issue, award points & close the thread.
