SAP Analytics Cloud to SAP BW Live Connection Preflight Error: No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin'

Hi Experts,

I am trying for so long now to set up the BW Live Connection to SAC and somehow somethings prevents it...

I implemented the steps as in the following blog: https://blogs.sap.com/2017/02/08/how-to-enable-cors-on-sap-netweaver-platform and the sap help: https://help.sap.com/doc/00f68c2e08b941f081002fd3691d86a7/release/en-US/75bbd4e3de074da79dea5dffb197..., but still I get the error:

When I call Url of the BW Server: host:port (of bw Server)/sap/bw/ina/GetServerInfo?sap-client=001 it gives me the right headers, but I cannot understand why SAC still doesn't connect. The SSL Certificates are also all green.

I also have noticed that in the RZ10, I have created the Parameter:icm/HTTP/mod_0 and has given the directory where the CORS_REWRITE.TXT is located. However, when I try to check this Parameter in RZ11 and display its actual value, it shows me that the value of Parameter:icm/HTTP/mod_0 = PREFIX=/ without the other directory of the CORS_REWRITE.TXT file. Do you think it has something to do with this setting or perhaps something is still missing?

Thanks,

Regys

Hello Regys,

What is the BW version you are using?

Could you please check the following SAP note and verify all the points from the solution?

Hello Mate,

we are running a SAP BW on HANA 7.5 SP 05 system with Kernel 753 and Patch Level 218.

The points in this sap note I have gone through, and they are all set. Does it perhaps has to do with the Parameter: icm/http/mod_0? In RZ10 it shows it correct but in RZ11 it shows not really correct?

RZ10:

But in the RZ11, at the actual value, it doesn't show the FILE directory where the rewrite cors is. Although i am trying to change it, it still doesn't set the actual value...

Thanks

Regys

Hello Regys,

As per the below documentation RZ11 config is only relevant for SAP NetWeaver version 7.52 or above.

https://help.sap.com/doc/00f68c2e08b941f081002fd3691d86a7/release/en-US/75bbd4e3de074da79dea5dffb197...

Also, SAP BW 7.5 SP05 is not supported itself according to the System Requirements and Technical Prerequisites page:

https://help.sap.com/doc/00f68c2e08b941f081002fd3691d86a7/release/en-US/11b4e5ff76eb4747bc255d7037be...

  1. Please follow the prerequisite part from the SAP Note https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/2415249 .
  2. After that implement all the missing notes using the ABAP program from https://launchpad.support.sap.com/#/notes/2541557.
  3. Please also make sure that the tenant ur is correctly added to the rewrite file:
    https://help.sap.com/doc/00f68c2e08b941f081002fd3691d86a7/release/en-US/39d0e79aa6a0480a904170ce12e0...

Hi Mate,

thanks a million for your comment. I think our problem was that the SAP BW on HANA 7.5 SP05 is not supported. I will try to connect it to a bw4/hana and see if that will work. But your comment really brought me on the right lane, cause I had tried everything and was wondering why it is not working... 🙂

Thanks

Regys

Hi Ingo,

thanks for the SAP Note 2669930. The problem was that I was trying to connect a SAP BW on HANA 7.5 sp05 while the sp08+ is supported for the BW on HANA. The issue now is resolved. We decided to connect it with a BW/4HANA which was fullfilling the requirements 🙂

Best regards,

Regys
