Determine 653/654 movement type for return from customer

Dear Experts,

Movement types for return from customer (653/655) is assigned to schedule line category (VOV6). On the other side Schedule line category determined from sales document item category and MRP type.

So is there any relation between inspection type which is activated in material master and the movement type determined in return delivery?

If QM is activated and you maintain QM view in master data, then, you need to create quality notification via QM module. On the other hand, movement types which you mentioned are related to SD activities and without quality notifications also, you can create a return order with any of the above movement types.
