Controlling status in CRMD_ORDER

Dear Experts,

We are using a custom transaction which is a copy of CRMD_ORDER , we are using it for change request management ,is it possible to control wat status has to be visible to a person based on the category field .we are using a custom status profile ,would like to know if the statuses visible in the transaction can be controlled based on the selected category field.
