Hello Guru's,

I have installed Solution manager 7.0 on Windows 2k3/Oracle 10 g environment.

The installation went successfully but when I start the SAP through SAP MMC the dispatcher starts

and gets shutdown with in 2 minutes. I have observed the following error information on the dev_disp

trace file and also an SAP note 1285016 which I found to be relevant.

Can anyone please advice what might be wrong and if the note is relevant can anyone please help me

out with steps for its application.

Hi

Can any one let me know the specific steps that need to be followed when installing an MCOD

No specific steps needed.

I think you already have solution manager installed in your system,if you are planning to install second system ex:NW7 just follow the normal procees of installation at one step it prompts you like install the first system or MCOD there you select the option MCOD that is the only step you need to take care.provide different SID and instance number. Database sid same which you mentioned earlier during installtion of SOLMAN

Let me know if needed more information

Hello Guru's,

I have installed a solution manager 7.0 <SID ---> MP0> on Windows 2K3/Oracle 10g environment and I

tryed installing another SAP system ECC 5.0 <SID ---> NP0> based on MCOD concept.

When I defined the (Database) SID as MP0 for (SAP) SID NP0 I'm getting the error " Oracle not

installled, Install oracle on this host".

Could any one please brief what is wrong here and if there is anyother specfic procedure that I need to

follow for an MCOD installation.

Thanks in advance.

Hi Subu,

It is not advisable to load the two SAP System on a single system because it requires huge amount of resourse i.e. RAM/CPU etc. however as per your last post you have to install the ECC 6.0 as Oracle 10g is already installed on your machine. ECC 5.0 runs on Oracle 9i.

Hi,

This seems to be generic network error. Check your firewall settings, connection to database and stopping antivirus (if there is any).

Check another file start with dev_w* on work directory and paste the *error * only. Also make sure that your database is running by this command through <SIDADM> user

R3trans -d

it will generate the trans.log file check that file also and paste the error only of this file also.
