SAP BW4HANA to SQL SERVER

Hello All,

We do have requiremnt to migrate the data from BW4HANA to Sql server.

I know BODS and SDI are the options, But one thing we are not clear with SDI can we migrate data to SQL Server I know we can pull data from multiple source and load in HANA.

Any thoughts will be appreciated....

I never seen a use case of data retraction from HANA using SDI, though technically it is possible to update/insert the data into the connected database tables using SDA/SDI remote source. Other than that, you may have to deal with licensing also, there might be restrictions on sending data from BW Application layer objects Vs Database tables.

However, in my view SAP Data Services(BODS) should be the preferred ETL for doing data transfer to SQL server, could it be from BW application or BW database tables..

Thanks for your quick reply, We don`t have any license issue .We are thinking which way is best , I know BODS will be best choice in these cases. But just we want to is that possible with Technical capabilities of SDI to send data out of HANA.
