Best Practices Sample Business content for Portal

Hi,

Can anybody tell me how to find a Sample Business content for EP 7.0.

We want download install as a business content.So that we can use it within portal without having all the modules. ( similar to IDES in ERP ).Its to Install in a laptop to have Portal's functionality to show in a presentation..Please help..Thanks!

Hi,

you can try out the SAP EP Best Practices. They contain portal files that will create users/roles and integrate BI / ECC data (you'll need a ECC backend system).

Thanks for your quick reply.The second link doesn't open.

1) I am looking for a small software which i can install in my laptop and get a feel like Portal.So that i can show it for Training.

Or

2) if i get a sample Business Content, i can deploy it in Portal to get the Full functions for Practice without actual data.

Hi,

for testing / learning purposes, SAP is offering Trial versions of NetWeaver 7 (ABAP, Java, Portal, Adobe, etc) and NetWeaver CE (7.1). The SAP Portal is normally used to integrate SAP ECC data (transactions, ESS, MSS) and BSP, WDA/J pages. For instance, Visual Composer makes only sense if you want to integrate Web Services / SOA from an ECC system.

Demo content for demonstrating the Portal functionality without a ECC backend system ... You can demonstrate the KMC functionality or the role concept (groups, desktops, themes). But I believe you'll have to create this content by yourself.

Do you mean to say that there is "NO" Sample Business Content for Portal in SDN or SMP ?

Trial Versions of NW7 has to be installed and it takes hours for installation process and config.

I am looking for Sample Business Content which i can deploy in existing Portal to get the functionality

OR

Sample Small Software which can be installed in laptop to get the feel of Portal functionality / Demo or Training purpose.
