Several target costs are zero for a production order after settled

Hi, my friends,

I have a very strange problem, hope you can clear my question:

I have done the varience calculation and settlement for a production order, but, in CO03->cost->analysis, several raw material are showing Target cost as zero and actual cost having some values and difference value is posting to resource-usage variences. In theory, all the target costs should have values after settled.

Why target cost is showing zero value in this case? Hope you can help me. thanks.

Hi Jianliang / Thess,

Target Costs will get calculated once the GR is done against a Production Order only. Check if there is any GR made....

Thanks, Srikanth

I was able to resolve the issue after I made another costing run and system calculated for new std cost estimates. I remember that I changed the valuation variants.

HI,

Check the standard cost estimate for the production order header material. All the raw materials should be appearing in the cost estimate, if not check the BOM assigned to the cost estimate.

Hi,

Target costs=Actual Qty* standard costs of the material.

In your case,i think standard costs(standard cost roll/material cost roll) of the material is missing.that is the reason, you dont see target costs.

Hope this helps you.
