I'm not sure which thread this should go under, but I hope SAP gurus will find and answer regardless.
Background
ice_service has run amok in one of our directories. It goes through every night, copies new or edited content and places it back in the directory as a new version. This changes the owner of the document to ice_service, and changes the date modified date of the file.
After looking at all the documentation, I see no reason for ice_service to be running at all. We DO NOT have a federated portal. I have disabled ice_service in our dev environment and it doesn't seem to make any difference.
Question
Can anyone tell me if there is a good reason NOT to disable ice_service, given that we do not have a
federated portal?
