Hi,
In order to combine sub items in one sales BOM to delivery together, I set the item category TAQ with 'Create Delivery Group' and its value is set as A - 'Delivery group with correlated schedule lines' that will allow us to make a partial delivery on the first date on which all the items in the bill of material become available.
For example:
I have a sales bom, that the main item is 01-0000020077VC, order quantity 300 PCs, Request Delivery Date 2018.07.24.
This main item has 3 sub items belong to, the bill of material is:
01-000000020077 | 1 Pcs
01-000000029717 | 2 Pcs
01-000002904607 | 1 Pcs
So according to the order quantity, the required quantity for each sub item is 300, 600, 300 Pcs.
Currently Item 01-000000020077 and 01-000002904607 have enough available quantity in stock. But for 01-000000029717, there is only 213 PCs. According to the purchase lead time, the remaining 87 PCs will be available until 2018.10.24.
Since we set 'Delivery group with correlated schedule lines' for the main item, the expected ATP confirmed date and quantity should be 213 sets of sales bom could be delivered on 07.24 and the remaining 87 sets will be delivered until 10.24.
When I create the same scenario in SAP, the delivery date and quantity for the bom is indeed confirmed as I expected. But their goods issue, loading and material available date are different. Those items which have enough stock are always confirmed 1 day earlier than the one with shortage. please find the picture below. This will cause the splitting when we create the outbound delivery because their material available date are different.
Note: we don't have any transit time, loading time, pick/packing time setup. No Router and No unloading point.
Have a look at OSS note 526188 which explains how system considers the explosion date for Sales BOM
