connect failed with sql error 1004

Hi ,

I am getting an error while starting the SAP.

error in DEV_W0 file :

CONNECT failed with sql error 1004

OCI-call 'OCIsessionBeging failed RC = 1017

Can some one help me with this.

Hello,

Error 1017 means invalid username or password.

Check that table sapuser is not empty and make sure that password provided is correct.

Can you post full contents of dev_w0 logs,there must be a ora error also written there.?

What I assume is there is a problem with op$ or sapr3 user while connecting to oracle

If that is the case refer to note 400241,you will find the solution
