Hi experts,
In orders, there're a list of partner funtions default. Practically not all of them is needed. I try deleting some, such as buyer, in "set up partner determination for sales doc header". But it does not work.
Any advice?
Dear Cathy,
First you check whether that partner functions are coming from customer master or at sales order level.
If those are coming from customer master you
Go through this IMG path to delete the unwanted partner functions in your partner determination procedure.
IMG>SPRO>Sales and Distribution>Basic Functions>Partner Determination-->Set Up Partner Determination
Set Up Partner Determination for Customer Master-->Select your partner determination procedure then click on Partner functions in procedure now system will take you to the Partner Functions in Procedure overview screen from this screen you can delete unwanted partner functions by selecting and click on Delete icon.
If partner functions are coming at sales order level.
Go through this IMG path to delete the unwanted partner functions in your partner determination procedure.
IMG>SPRO>Sales and Distribution>Basic Functions>Partner Determination-->Set Up Partner Determination
>Set Up Partner Determination for Sales Document Header>Select your partner determination procedure then click on Partner functions in procedure now system will take you to the Partner Functions in Procedure overview screen from this screen you can delete unwanted partner functions by selecting and click on Deletion icon.
I hope this will help you,

Hi cathy
What Mr.Murali has suggested is absoultely perfect
By deleting the unwanted partner functions in the determination prodcedure say TA which is assigned to your sales document type, the existing orders or already created orders will not have any impact
You have to test it with new sales order

Raja
Cathy,
Based on the information you have supplied, you will probably have one of a couple of issues. Either you are trying to change config in a client that is 'locked down' e.g. a TST or PRD platform, or you may have an auth problem. If you are trying to change within a locked down platform, talk to your Basis Administrator or manager about opening the client up to make the changes. I definately wouldn't recommend it, as this is configurable, so should be transported - Integrity is everything! On the other hand, if it is auth's, then run a SU53 after you select 'Change' and see what auth objects it is falling over on.
Hope this helps.
Paul...
Just to reiterate what Raja said, SAP tends to be 'forward looking', i.e. any changes made may not (generally speaking with a few exceptions) result in previous transactional data being updated.

Hi Cathy,
Not sure what the problem is, but I am assuming that you have selected the Partner Determination Procedure, then selected the 'Partner Functions in Procedure' sub-folder. You should be able to add, delete, amend any of the partner functions that have been assigned in there. If not, what message are you getting back when you attempt to remove a Partner Function?
Cheers,
Paul...
