What can you do?
Note which actions and entries caused the error to occur.

Consult your SAP administrator.

Using transaction ST22 for ABAP dump analysis, you can view, manage,
and retain termination messages for longer periods.

Hello Juan,

At the dump, there is a section called "Active Calls in SAP Kernel".

Can you please provide this entire section?

In addition, providing the dev_w88 trace file from the server where the core dump occurred could be helpful as well.

Cheers!

Dear Juan,

Thank you for the information.

I could not find an SAP Note that would address this specific crash.

One thing that I have noticed is that the SAP kernel in use is from release 742, which is not supported anymore (meaning that SAP does not provide fixes for this kernel release any longer).

Since the kernel 745 will be retired in Q1/2019, I would suggest that you upgrade the SAP kernel to the latest SAPEXE/SAPEXEDB packages available for kernel 749 (currently, patch level 500).

Regards,

Isaías

Dear Isaias,

Do I have to upgrade Netweaver 7.4 to Netweaver 7.5 if I want to upgrade the SAP kernel to 7.45 or 7.49 ??

Thanks in advance

Hi Juan,

No, you can use a 749 kernel with NetWeaver 7.4. This information can be found in the Product Availability Matrix (https://support.sap.com/en/release-upgrade-maintenance.html#section_1969201630).

Cheers,
Matt

Check the trace file of the work process number 88. If possible attach the complete ABAP dump from Tx ST22. Also review the ulimts of the utpadm user at the AIX level.
