SAP + QM + too many lines for ALV 116

Hi QM Gurus, we are facing the following issue in our SAP QM enviroment when the users are recording results for an inspection lot:

too many lines for ALV 116

I think this is because our inspection plan has a high number of MIC's, but we need all those MIC's. Do you know how to handle/fix this issue?

Ok.. I'm kind of afraid to ask this question.

How many MIC's do you have in your inspection plan?

It terrifies me that you used the singular version of plan as opposed to the plural version.

Please tell me you don't use one plan and have all your MIC's in them?

If you do I really, really would like to understand the reason and rationale for it.
