Hi gurus,
when i check the MD21, i found that some materails are not having planning file entries i.e netch and netpl indicator .and because of this we found that these materials are not being in planning.
From my understanding these planning file entries were updated when the material was created.
I am not sure how these entries are missing. Please can any one help me find out the root cause for the same.
Thanks in advance.

Hi..
there can 2 cases
1. No MRP relevant changes have happened.. So no entries in the planning file...
2. MRP was activated for the plant after th creation of the these materials. In this case u will have to create the planning file enteries for the first time manually...

When u create a material, at that time all the material have Neupl, netch, Netpl, once u run Mrp all the entry in planning file entry is deleted, After that if there is any relevant change in MRP after MRP run then only it will enter in Netch and Netpl. For reorder point material, if material falls below reorder pt then only it make entry in Reorder pt. For MRP TYPE ND, it will not enter into planning file entry.

Hi,
Initially when you are creating the material MRP type by PD, the material will be entered in the planning file. Once you run the NEUPL-Regenerative planning, the planning file entries will be deleted. Means the materials were considered in the planning run. In day today current business transactions, say example, when you receive any sales order for the particular material means, this material no will be copied in the planning file. This will be considered for the next planning run. This way the planning file entries will be working.

Dear,
Please note MRP has to be activated for plant level before creating materials in OMDU. Then only created materials will have planning file entries.
You can run planning file entries consistency check in background before the MRP run to create/delete the planning file entreies automatically from MDRE/MDAB transactions...This will be useful to avoid the re-planning of the materials ( if planning file entry is not deleted after MRP run) and also to plan material (if planning file entry is not created).

Hi Naveen,
If you are creating materials for the first time and still MRP run is not activated, you need to manually create planning file entries.
Shedule a back job in MDAB transaction code for creating a planning file entries.next time onwards if material is created and if MRP type is PD,automatically planning file entries willl be created
