Hi Experts -
I am using the concept of period-to-period comparison to try viewing the data of a ACTUALSQTY as follows:
But while I configured everything as per the help and configured my planning view layout as below, I end up seeing (None) at places in the planning view where I am expecting the time profile attribute values to show up.
Can someone help where I am going wrong. Please note I have double checked my time period file and it has values maintained rightly for tp-level 4, 5 and 6 (Month, Quarter and Year).
Thanks,
Regards - Guru
Hi Guru,
I agree with you it is a long process to adjust the planning levels if any changes in time profile attributes.
You need to use NAVCHAR attribute type. Clear metadata cache as below.
I would suggest run planning area and master data consistency check before loading data. Let me know if you have any other concerns.

Guru, two things.
1. Your base planning level has to be Month and not the Technical Week.
2. Why you need to populate those attribute for Quarter and Year level. I don't think you need to do that to display data for Quarter and Yearly level. Populating only Monthly will work.
Hi Ankur -
I found a lot of trouble changing the root of the planning level, I have hence left it the way it is and assigned that to a dummy KF. I have created a new PL with month as root and assigned that to my key-figure TESTACTUALSQTY. While loading the data into planning view (in the same way as shown before), I am getting below error:
I have created the time profile attributes with type NVARCHAR, is this the reason? But if I have to create them with integer type, how can I upload the values like Jan / Feb / Mar ... etc.
Thanks for the support,
Regards - Guru
No, NVACHAR is the correct type. As mentioned in error message, did you clear Metadata Cache in Excel-Addin?
Hi Ankur - it worked for me finally. Thank you very much for the support.
Regards - Guru
