How to create Merchandise Category

I am fairly new with creating new merchandise hierarchy. Can somebody please advise what are the steps and corresponding t-codes? Currently, we have mdse hierarchy setup already, but required new ones to be added.

Hi,

You can use the following t-code

WG21 to create a Merchendise Category.

CLWM to create a Merchendise Category Hierarchy level

CLW1 - Merchandise Category Hierarchy Assignments

WG26 - Merchandise Category Assignments

WRC4 - Reclassification of Merchandise Category Assignments

We created using WG21, but ran into error when testing article creation. Error message is "No characteristics could be determined for the generic article". Also, business needed us to create only one level of merchandise category without the levels.

Hi

If you want to create a generic article, you need to create Characteristic Profile.

Steps :-

Create Characteristic - CT04

assign value in the "Values" Tab

Create Characteristic Profile - CLWE

assign Characteristic In "Char" Tab

Create Merchandise Group - WG21

assign Characteristic Profile in Front screen

Then create Generic Article
