Hi,

Check the password policy...you may be entering less than 8 characters or without any special characters..first check the same in the backend to change a password successfully..if it works in backend it will work in easydms..also do not change the password more than once in a day..most of the times it is restricted from the backend.

Hi Anubhav/anirudh

Thanks for your suggestions,

I have checked the policies and as such there are no major limitations,

The password change works fine in backend r/3, But when changed in DMS,I think its not communicating back to backend the password,

Can you help how to check why the password is not getting communicated to backend R/3,

Thanks for your extended help.

Hi,

Well in this case i can think of two options

1. on logon screen, click on SAP icon and in the new screen check the create rfc trace option. From drop downs select full traces and then tyr change password - then check the traces and see what is the error. you may post the error in the forum.

2. on the same trace screen, check start with ABAP debugger- and then try changing password - it will stop in ABAP backend. you need to do some debugging there to find the root cause of the error.

Hi,

The change SAP password functionality works in easydms.

Please check that password restrictions like cannot use last 5 old passwords or other password restrictions are not set in your system.

Anirudh,
