Switching of the Postal code check for US

Hi everybody,

I have a problem with batch input of customers from outer system (which is a master system for customers). There is a FM created which is calling recorded TCode XD01 for master data creation. I have a problem with postal code for US, which is not correct in the outer system. I would like to switch off the postal code check for US country. I already put ' 0 ' in the country settings and it works fine with TCode XD01. Manually there is no check for US postal code. But when I try to use batch input (recorded) and I fill in the same data, there is an error message "Postal Code must have the length 5 or 10".

I have no idea what to do. I already check "Note 499218 - Checking the postal code for the United States." and "Note 707113 - Deactivation of postal code check for country USA", but they are not relevant for my system:

SAP_BASIS 700

SAP_ABA 700

Any suggestions?

Best regards, Matija

Hi,

Execute OBD2 and for the account group of the customer make the fields Postal code as optional and also if you are using external systems to update customer master in SAP through ALE you can set up some dummy value at ALE layer.

Technical consulttant can help you on ALE

We change data in the outer system, so they are now compatible with US postal check.

Sorry Bhaskar,

This solution doesn't work. In any case there is a control switched on when I create a customer through the batch input recording. It is not possible to create a customer with wrong postal code for US (for example WA-12345 instead 12345). When you create customer through transaction XD01 there is no problem. Everything works fine (no control, you can enter anything).

THX.

Regards, Matija
