Not updating workflow by email notification

The workflow for changing customer master data is currently not working properly. Every time I start a workflow by updating a dummy account the workflow is assigned to the master data team as it is supposed to, however, after they have finalized the changes the workflow never gets the status completed and I never get notified by email. As a result in my business workplace all my worflows look like they are pending although they have been completed.

Where i need to check and change?
