Hi Experts,
I just installed ECC 6 on redhat 5/oracle 10.2.0.4
I ran sgen and now Im patching the SPAM to version 33. It is running but is VERY SLOW. Its been runing for a VERY long time. I see no errors though.
Does it have anything to do with oracle parameters? Do I have to change any parameters?
Please advice.
Seelan
Hi Seelan,
Check the log on /usr/sap/trans/log directory...
Most of the time the path will be updated and it will not refresh, in this case restating the process will be the solution. It will be done immediately.

Hey have you checked the tp system log for any errors
Also do you have multiple application servers or a single instance

No need for any parameters Seelan,
just one thing have you configured STMS in your system and the background jobs for transports are they running.
To check that go to SM37 and put in Job name R*,user also * and check for all the status
If there are no background jobs running that means your import is stuck
Just have a look
If they are running, then check one more thing in SM37
Put in job name R* and user *, check for the status scheduled or released,if there are any jobs just run that job
If nothing of the issue exists, then just be patient and wait for it to get over
Also what are the patches that you have defined in the queue

Hi,
Did you chked any jobs are running under user DDIC and 000 in SM50, atleast to confirm the update job is running. Did you observed any error in tp log.
Probably you can stop and re-start the update again.
has the BGD process are available in system.
regards....
