Characteristic not required in RR

Dear QM Gurus,

In inspection plan i have 5 charateristic, after GRN all get copied in inspection lot, now clients requirement is to check only three of five. So how to remove those 2 characteristic from lot.

Dear Kailash

Another suggestion will be make use of additional characteristic which is available in Result recording.

Maintain the 3 mandatory mics in the inspection plan so that they get automaticaly maintained in the lot and rest you add according in the Result recording ( you will get this in EDIT option in RR)

Hi Kailash

You define the characteristics as Optional characteristics in QS21/QS22. When ever you create a inspection lot all the characteristics will be copied, but for the optional characteristics no need to do the result recording.

The simplest way is to assign DMR at chrectoristic level.

This DMR should be 100 % skip.

Only mension DMR at chr level in inspection plan header and assign DMR agaist individual char(which you don't want to Inspect).

When Lot is generated and when you carry out result recording ,only those char for which DMR not applied are allowed to carry RR.Other char will become gray.

Hi

following are the steps:

1.Go to QDR1.

2.Dynamic modification: Tick on At lot creation

3.Press F5

4.Now In stage enter 10,Click on Skip ,write short text as "Skip"

5.select line & click on stage change.

6.A new window will appear

7.Number of skips:100

New stge change:10

Not ok

New stge change:10

8.save DMR

Now Go to QP01

Go to header level

Enter Dynamic Modification level: Dynamic Modification at char Level

Keep Modification blank

Then go to Inspection char

The char which you don't want to inspect maintain the DMR you have created.(only to those char)

and save task list.

Now when a lot is created go to result recording.

The char which you don't want to inspect will be Gray.

Dear Sujit,

You are right, when maintaining DMR, characteristic becoming greyed out, but this is the case with particular customer, some other customer requires the same characteristic and some other not required, so how to maintained this situation, please guide.

This can be achieved throgh...

QP01/02>Task list header->marterial assignment.

maintain here the Customer /Vendor -Material combination there...

liKe ..

For a customer X maintain his name in material assignment against group 1. (which will contain skipped Char)

For a customer Y maintain his name in material assignment against group 2. (which will contain Non- skip Char)

So you have to mainan 2 gropus onw with DMR and other without.
