Has anyone developed a process in ECC to restrict material reservations required quantities to the specific Work Order that it was ordered against? Commonly refered to as a “hard reservation” since it prevents Reservations created at a later time for the same material from having on-hand quantity issued to it if it is already reserved for said Work Order. The concern is that a Maintenance Planner reserves material 123 for a future date but the system allows the material to be direct issued to a different work order. This can result in a material stock-out which could then delay the maintenance work scheduled for the future date.
