Why two different inspection lots generated from one GRN ?

Hi

I just did one GRN by posting inbound delivery which generated two different inspection lots in gap of more than 5 minutes.

- Both Inspection lots showing same delivery no and Mat document no.s

- only one document posted showing in MB51 and one quantity.

Can you help me to trace why this happened .

Inspection setup activated 01 and 08 with control insp lot :For each material document ite.

Please note : only one qty in PO and one delivery with one posting.

Were they both the same inspection type? Or one 01 and one 08?

Were they from an actual outside vendor or from a transport order? (STO).

Are these HU managed? (since you added that tag).

What's the material movements showing in the material document?

Are you receiving any other materials in EXACTLY the same way? I.e. same delivery type, from same type of vendor, using HU's, (or not), same material movement, same receipt process?

YES HU Managed

YES Since 2016

How many HU's are there?

In the UD stock posting are the same HU's referenced in both lots? Do both lots require stock posting (SPRQ status)?

If the same HU's are referenced in both lots, than I would contact SAP and search the OSS notes to see if a similar thing has been reported.

My gut says this is related to the HU's. But my exposure to HU's is limited, (and not favorable!).

there are 5 Hus, which are created during GRN.
