S/4HANA Key User Extensibility - 'Custom Fields and Logic' app

Hi,

A custom field can be added to a UI or CDS view in the S/4HANA cloud system using the 'Custom Fields and Logic' app. Please let me know whether it is possible to add a standard field to a standard CDS view? I have noticed that not all the standards fields are available in the SAP delivered CDS views.

Hi Vinod,

You can add standard fields to standard CDS views depending on whether its supported for that particular CDS view or not. Which CDS view you want to extend?

1. You can check 'Data Source Extensions' in 'Custom fields and logic' app (2nd tab). If your particular context is there. You can add your field here.

2. You can create a custom field & put value in that in your BAdI logic.

If you are using OP system, then you can create an extension to your CDS view. New fields will be picked for extended CDS view as well.
