Price changes done in Info Records should be reflected in all open PO's.

Hello everyone,

We have a requirement whereby if any price related changes are done in the purchase info records, the same should be reflected in all the open purchase orders. We did try to achieve this using the standard transactions - MEI3 and MEI4 with all the relevant configurations in place. Still we are not able to generate the worklists.

The message reported is:

E NI 074 No worklist created (See messages)

I NI 073 No worklist generated for document category 'Purchase order/scheduling agre' (no changes)

I NI 073 No worklist generated for document category 'Pricing: Pricing worklist' (no changes)

Can someone please let us know if anyone has ever tried using these standard transaction codes? Also if there is any alternate method available please let us know.

Regards,

Kavita D.

I am certain that there are people who have successfully used MEI3 and MEI4 as I don't believe that SAP delivered dead or unusable transactions.

See if this older discussion with the hints given by a SAP employee can help you further: https://archive.sap.com/discussions/thread/3158009

You said "with all the relevant configurations in place" , this does others who have no access to your system not really give any valid input to evaluate the situation. If really everything would be in place then it should work and not create error messages.

So you might want to show your setup in screenshots

Hello Kavita,

ME14 is only to display the info record changes, if you change Info record through ME12 or through mass changes, system will propose the new prices if you create a new PO by mentioning the info records, because as per the standard functionality if you take previous Purchase order as reference system will copy the conditions maintained in the last PO, not the changed condition in Info record.

So if you are trying to see the changes in existing PO on the basis of Info record changes, I think it will not work,.. neither your release strategy will re-determined cause there are no changes has been done in the PO.

Thanks,

Hello Ankur,

Yes..this should be an automatic process whereby only the open PO's should be updated with the revised prices, mainly the price maintained against condition type PB00.

I also agree about the output of PO with existing records. When PO is created a print output is triggered but if you consider the release strategy configuration which is maintained in the system even change in PO price will lead to output triggering.

I just need to know if anyone has succeeded in using Tcode MEI3 and MEI4.

Hello Kavita,

When we created Purchase order, system copy the conditions from Info records, but once the system created purchase order, data has been saved in the tables for PO, so what you are expecting the data which already maintained on different conditions has to be changed, jst because you changed the conditions in info record, what if you already take the output of PO with the existing conditions records.

Thanks,
