Exit variables inside planning function.

Hi all,

I have used user exit variable multiple times in planning function. But in one function, I am facing the issue. I have created the user exit variable for one characteristics and using it in the copy function.

Whenever I try to save the planning function, it gives me error "Variable value can not be found" / "Variable contains invalid value". I have not kept the variable to mandatory. The characteristics is not a master data and its supposed to hold some number.

I have one more function where it works well. In that function,, the characteristics is a master data. But that shouldnt matter.

Why is this? Request some inputs here.

Check out have you created any characteristic relationship for this variable.If you created an relation you must have to enter any valid entry for that variable.

No Char. Relationship with this field. Its just a field which is supposed to have a sequential number,
