I think you are following this [PDF document.|]

And it talks about the "How-To Handle Backlog and Overload Situations in SAP NetWeaver Process Integration Installations"

Which I guess a BASIS consultant can answer.

Few lines from this document is,

      >whenever there is a backlog or overload situation then First you should identified the concerned scenario, and then you must either isolate this scenario or, if possible, stop it.

      >And a prerequisite for being able to move a channel is the availability of a non-central Adapter Engine. If only the central Adapter Engine is available, then there is no alternative Adapter Engine available to where a communication channel can be moved.

      >To be able to successfully move a communication channel, it is important that are no longer any messages which are not in a final status (DLVD, FAIL) for this communication channel. Otherwise, messages cannot be processed later.

So the meaning is not to transport the communication channel from one system to another, it is about to move from central adapter engine to non-central adapter engine.

I may not have given the correct explanation but I guess up to some extent now may have got some understanding about "Move Communication channel".
