is it mandatory to use udf in message mapping ?? SAP already provided standard functions to use in message mapping. only for few cases we need to use udf or what ??

Hi there

No, user-defined functions are not mandatory at all. In many cases, you can build the mapping you need, using only the built-in functions.

User-defined functions are required only in those cases where the standard functions are not sufficient. However, you might also use them in cases where a mapping using just the standard functions becomes too complicated.
