Is it possible to track material quantity variance in repetitive manufacturing?
when i backflush the material consumption is recorded as per BOM, can i seperate goods issue, confirmations in backflushing or not.
As i see in backflushing i can seperately post components consumption, activities confirmation and assembly confirmation does system suggest the quantities as per routing and bom which are editable i.e. can i post actual consumption or not?
Dear Syed,
As you have mentioned ,separated backflush is also possible.
Either you can do the activity posting and GI simultaneously with GR in MFBF or MF42N.
Separated backflushing can be made in MF70.
Check also the reports MF12 whether this can help you.
you can use MB51 to track the material movements. For costing part check in KKF6N for the
backflushed materials and activities.

Syed,
In REM, product cost collectors are used, so there is no tracking based on the planned order, However when settling the Product Cost collectors, the variance also is settled.
Yes, you would be able to post Components and Activities seperately.
If you want to look at the costs, then you can use transaction KKF6N, and you can display the costs so far posted againsts the Product cost collector or for a timeline used by you.

Prasobh
