Exchange rate issue

Dear Gurus,

While maintaining exchange rate for USD-AED in OB08 i m getting following error message

No exchange rate conversion factors could be

found for the currency pair USD/AED (exchange

rate type M) because the entry is missing from

the appropriate table.

Do you want to maintain the table entry

manually?

If i click YES . message will come to make system modifiable.

But while maintaing other exchange rates i am not facing any issue. System need not made modifiable

What is to be done ?

Please help me urgently.

For USD-AED currency pair, the translation ratio is missing for the exchange rate type for which you are attempting to maintain exchange rate in OB08. That is why system is not letting you maintain exchange rate in OB08 for that currency pair for that exchange rate type. You do not have this issue with other currency pairs because translation ratio is maintained for those pairs.

To maintain translation ratio for USD-AED for an exchange rate type (say 'M'), your system needs to be modifiable. If you are in a unit test or quality or production system, you do not want to make it modifiable. So, go to your Dev. box where you perform all config., execute T Code OBBS and maintain translation ratio for USD-AED for the exchange rate type for which you want to maintain exchange rate in the target system. Save that into a transport and move the transport to the target system. You will then be able to maintain exchange rate in the target system.

Hi. This is not happening. Daily we need to maintain exchange rate. First time it is ok to transport. Not every time. For other currencies i am not facing any issues.

I have maintain setting in OBBS also.

Hi,

This prblem occurs only when the entry is missing in OBBS

Maintain the follwoing entry in your OBBS

M USD AEM 01.01.2008 1 : 1

M AEM USD 01.01.2008 1 : 1

This should solve the problem.

You are not getting the point. I am not asking to transport exchange rates daily. The OBBS configuration only needs to be transported once. You can then maintain daily exchange rates in the target system. You said you have already maintained OBBS, in which case you should not see the error. Could you post the exact error message (including the message number) here?

If i Say Yes i takes me to small window to maintain translation ratio.

This entry has been made in OBBS. Still the issue is continuing.

Hi,

Try doing the procedure in Dev..

The error should repeat.. Then maintain the values..

If the error is not repeated, compare the entries in these two small windows..

Hi Sourabh,

Please make settings for "M in OB07...

Define translation ratios in OBBS

and try making entries in OB08..

You must be able to save now..
