SAP DB2 migration for portal got failed

Hi All,

We are migrating Oracle to DB2 migration.

Here our migration got failed with below error.

1. At 34% /db2/db2sid/adm/db2set not existing. so fixed this issue after renaming the files from /var/db2 to old.

2. Again got the error at 42% db2 data directory not existing , Not getting any solution.

DB21034E The command was processed as an SQL statement because it was not a
valid Command Line Processor command. During SQL processing it returned:
SQL1328N An implicit connection attempt failed. The database alias name or
database name "SID" was not found in the local database directory.
SQLSTATE=42705

3.Every time memory is pushed to buffer/cache part on redhat 7.3 , it seems to be some memory issue.

top - 11:13:10 up 48 min, 5 users, load average: 0.01, 0.07, 0.10
Tasks: 329 total, 3 running, 324 sleeping, 0 stopped, 2 zombie
%Cpu(s): 1.3 us, 1.1 sy, 0.1 ni, 97.3 id, 0.1 wa, 0.0 hi, 0.0 si, 0.0 st
KiB Mem : 10075320 total, 3043168 free, 1025364 used, 6006788 buff/cache
KiB Swap: 9764860 total, 9764860 free, 0 used. 8604780 avail Mem

As per my investigation some old entries for sid is existing in the system , so how to do cleanup for db2 and sap software since swpm is not helping to uninstall also from db2 level also same issue.

Can some one help me to do cleanup the db2 and sap manually.

What are the parameters for tuning in red hat 7.3 for sap db2 for memory usage.

In os level all the memory is pushed to cache/buffer area gradually.

Please give your valuable thoughts on it. Really appreciate your inputs.

Thanks

Removing the Tag - PORTAL Migration and Upgrade, as the query is related to Database Migration.

Hi SAP Team,

Now we have uninstalled the DB2 entries and done a re-import again so it was successful.

This time we are getting sso issues. We have few queries for sso,

a. Here we are moving to a different box with latest redhat 7.3 version and db2 10.5 ,

Our Portal system UME here is LDAP , so whenever user login with his domain and launch url , sso works here(i.e direct login to portal happens without password) , after that sso with portal and satellite system ,so will the sso connectivity works after go-live with out any specific configurations? (Our SID , hostname , ip everything will be same as live pj1 system after the go-live)

b. We are trying to test the sso connectivity with a new SID(CJ1) here in the portal->system administration -> system landscape -> key store > SAPLogonTicketkeypair-cert is pointing to PJ1 , so even i tried to generate the ticket as CJ1 from visual admin -> keystore -> Ticket Store -> Generate the certificate still no luck.

Could you please guide us to regenerate the sso for CJ1 and test the sso ? Also please comment your inputs on point 1 too.

Thanks

Pradeep
