ISA for R/3

Hi Gurus,

I am running into a problem. We are working on ISA for R/3 (ECC 6.0), and I have two questions:

- is NWDI required to make custom extensions or is there another way around?

- I saw that IPC is not mandatory: is this info reliable?

thanks!

    Hi,

SAP recommends to use NWDI for custom developments. You can follow the other methods too like below.

[How to Create Custom Application in E-Commerce 5.0 Without NWDI|https://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/Snippets/HowtocreatecustomApplicationinE-commerce5.0without+NWDI]

IPC is not mandatory for ECC. It is left to the business to have it or not but there is no mandatory rule to use IPC in ECC Background.

    Regards,
