Hi All,

I migrated datasource 0Material_Attr and 0Material_Text from 3.x to 7.0 and loaded data into PSA,status of request is in yellow but data is displayed in PSA table and it is not changing to green status automatically.

Can any one provide a solution to the above problem.

Prakash

Change the status manually if you think all the data is available in PSA

Check Transact RFC in Source system

If it is stuck there just execute LUW

Or check dump if any in either of the systems R/3 or BW

Also check the jobs whether they have successfully completed

Hi All,

I am able to activate the source system successfull and when i extracted the data still the request is coming in yellow and i am able to change the request status manually and in the monitoring it displays the following message in Status tab.

Request still running

Diagnosis

No errors found. The current process has probably not finished yet.

System Response

The ALE inbox of BI is identical to the ALE outbox of the source system

or

the maximum wait time for this request has not yet been exceeded

or

the background job has not yet finished in the source system.

Current status

No Idocs arrived from the source system.

Why the request is not coming in green?

In my environment both BI system and XI system are in same server and both are connected to same R/3 system due to this do we need to make any other settings to extract data sucessfully?

Hi All,

I checked RFC destination in both R/3 and BI system. Connection is working. User given in logon and security is a system and not a dialog user.

When I right click the source system and tried to activate i am getting the following error

"Result of the destination check: Name or password is incorrect (repeat logon)"

When we change the password of the user in the SM59, whether the user and its password needs to be specified in any other settings.

Hoping for a good reply.

Password setting is not the task that we do normally suggest to inform the BASIS team of the same

and let then aware of the issue .

I am suer they can rectify this .

Check in tcode BD87 of R/3 to see if any idocs are waiting for processing.

Also check in SM58 for any requests to be processed.

Hi All,

I manually tried to change the request status, on double click of the technical status it is turning to red and it displays the following error

f the TRFC is incorrect, check whether the source system is fully connected to BI. In particular, check the authorizations of the background user in the source system.

Whether the user which is specified in R/3 SM59 connection should have certain roles to post the idoc into BI.

As you said the data is already there in the PSA correct .

You checked the same number of records are there frrom Source Sytem to PSA .

If yes it means data is there .

What i suggest is to check the IDOCS are they still in waiting status .

There are couple of transactions where we can check the inblound and outbound idocs .

So check that take help of ABAPer to know these transactions .

You can also right click the source system and check weather connections are fine between the source system and the data warehouse .

Assign marks is the best way to appreciate help
