Upgraded B1 2005 to B1 2007 - Now Website No Longer Works

Hi,

I upgraded B1 from 2005 to 2007 last night and now our eCommerce site doesn't work. Any ideas on what I need to do? I am running WebTools 2007.

Thanks,

David

Hi David,

can you please provide more information on your upgrade procedure? Upgrading B1 itself shouldn't have any adverse effect on the eCommerce site, as WT uses a database that is synchronized with B1 using the SynchManager/Service tool. The synchronization should be stopped before any upgrade, and restarted afterwards. Is it possible that you've had the synch service running on the B1 database being upgraded? This sounds like a possible source of corruption.

Hi there,

I did not have the synch running during the upgrade. The B1 database has been upgraded of course and now when I go into Synch Manager and try to connect to the B1 database I get 'SBO Error #14001:' and if I try to go to any node other than Server Config in Synch Manager I get a popup error that says 'Connection to Web tools database or Business One is invalid'.

Thanks,

David

Hi David,

unfortunately, I'm not able to determine what's error '14001' (and it appears it doesn't even have a message associated).

Please check that you have the correct DI API installed and registered (SAPbobsCOM2005.dll from B1 2007) on the machine with synchmanager. Also check that the server you are connecting to has the correct SBO-COMMON database (same version as the company database you are connecting to).

There might be also some logs in the Log directory of the B1 client, though I'm not sure if DI API logs anything by default.

Regards,

Stefan
