Is it possible to send Emails to customer or the POS saler after invoice creation ? Do plugins exist or can we develop it?

In the standard solution delivered from SAP, it is not possible to send email to the customer.
However SAP Customer Checkout can be extended using PlugIns. And with PlugIns it will be possible to send such emails.
I do not know if any other partner has already built such a PlugIn.
