Don, in an earlier post you said:
The RDC has been deprecated as of version 9 and no longer shipped in CR 2008. Craxddrt is shipped with 2008 but you are no lnger licensed to use it, it's the designer UI in .NET IDE.
I suggest you move to our .NET Assemblies and RAS which is the replacement for the RDC.
Thank you
Don
I have a .net winforms application that embeds the designer control to allow users to create and design there own reports using business objects that are supplied by my application. I have two questions first, I am ready to begin beta testing this software and want to know if I purchase and install crystal reports xi developer on my user's machine and then install and run my windows application that uses the embedded designer control will this work with the installed RDC component. If not, what would I need to do, will I have to somehow package the dll's on my development machine and copy them onto my users machine to get my program to run? If so, how would I know what to grab from my development machine?
Secondly, the .NET Assemblies and RAS thing that you mentioned above does it also support an embeddable design component and if so, how can I find out more about migrating my app to use this new component. Thanks for the help.
