I understand SUM DMO can support anyDB migration to HANA
but
the question is, does the app layer OS have to be homogeneous ?
The only documentation I can see is anyDB.
Can SUM 2.0 with DMO support an OSDB migration and an upgrade from Windows to Linux ?
Yes, you can migrate the database from Windows to Linux (for example from MS SQL to HANA). In case you'd like to execute the DMO with option system move to migrate the application server then the target OS has to be Linux.
More details in SAP Note: 2537452 - Database Migration Option (DMO) of SUM 2.0 SP02
