Select window --preference --select sap as java/ sap server .(different depends on version of NWDS)
Give the ip address or syatem name and instance number of the server

Hi,
Go to Windows
>Preferences
>SAP J2EE Engine. Now click on the "SAP J2EE Engine is Installed on Remote Host" if it is so and then Give the "Message Server Host" and "Message Server Port" and Click on Apply and the OK.
Now view the J2EE Engine Tab at the bottom of the screen and you should see all green lights.

> A popup will be opened in that select the SAP J2EE Engine.
In that we have two kind of hosts,In that one is remote host and another is local host
If you go for remote host give details of message server host and message server port.
Mostly local host will not be used.
