Hi Community friends,
The BPC (Input and Report) columns indicate the sign of the based on BPC logic. The BW column indicate the sign of the data as it is stored in the database relative to what is on the BPC inputs and reports. When we do a load, the sign of the data applied remains the same as what is in the source.
Logic/View
Account Type BPC Input BW BPC Report AST + + + LEQ - + - LEQ + - + INC - + - INC + - + EXP - - - EXP + + +Example 1
Account BPC BW AST -10 -10 AST 10 10 LEQ -20 20 LEQ 20 -20 INC -30 30 INC 30 -30 EXP -40 -40 EXP 40 40In Example 2 below, the BW reflects the data as per the data source, however, BPC reflects all positive numbers. This is an issue with the user is they are unable to do a quick analysis of the data. The users want to see the data reflected as credits and debits in their reports so that they are able to simply sum it in excel. With the BPC view, the numbers sum up incorrectly with standard excel functionality. The expected result is what is in the BW column, however, the users get the result that is in the BPC column.
Example 2
Account BPC BW AST 10 10 LEQ 20 -20 INC 30 -30 EXP 40 40 EXCEL SUM 100 0Can you recommend how we resolve the above issue?
