We are upgrading from 4.6C to ECC6.0
The client has multiple material number which is duplicate for one material number. Now they are planning to have only one material number in ECC6.0. Client wants to upgrade new system without data meaning in new system it will have no master data & no transaction data.
Now the issue is with customer service. If customer wants any service for particular product they refer to serial no or equipment no. but these serial numbers is in old system 4.6C. with the help of serial numbers they can track the shipment & order & also warranty. But in new system there is no master data present.
how can one solve this issue. How to track warranty & serial no. & equipment no. let me know If you didn't get my question.
