Crossdock

Hi,

I am configuring crossdock for our client. The process goes like this.

An allocation table is created first. Purchase Order to Vendor and STO are created as followon documents. We send both the PO and STO to the Vendor. PO for total qty and STO for crossdock.

Now in a scenario when we change the STO quantity after creation, the table entries in EKPO are update, however quantities are not updated in table FRET, where the relation between PO and STO is defined.

Is this a bug in SAP ??? or there is anyother way of doing it.

Thanks

Kanica

Hi

Relationship PO and STO in allcation

you define this at Item Categories of Allocation Table

Under Business Transation

Hi,

why u are sending STO and PO to vendor..

Normal scenario.

If DC have stock

Store create STO to supply goods From DC

DC create Delivery reference with STO.

Cross docking Scenario

Store ordering a set of article to DC by STO

DC ordering same to Vendor by PO

vendor send good to DC ( Refering PO, GR is made

DC send goods to Store ( Standard - when GR is created, Delivery is created automatically)

Do PGI and GR reference with Delivery

Hi

As i have told in my scenario description.

We first plan the quantities using allocation. PO gives the vendor the total qty. It does not have a breakup by store.

We send the STO to give them the break-up of quantities for each store.

Hi,

This is exactly as we have configured.

We define a Item Category for Allocation table. The we are creating an allocation and a PO and STO as a followon document.

The problem occors that if we change the Qty in any of the STO cretaed via follow on documents, the new STO qty gets updated in table EKPO but not in table FRET.

Hi,

I guess.. it is allocation Qyt, it is not directly link to STO , PO

So what ever change in STO, it reflect only PO not allocation qyt.

so if you want to increase Qty..

Go to change mode of allocation (WA01)

Then increate qty and execute follow on Document.
