billing extractor is for billing information which you will not get with sales extrator and as you said if you need only invoioced sales order...then this information cannot be obtained alone from the sales exractor and you need billing extractors as well....there can be other examples too.
also a billiong extrator contains billing information for all the kind of activity and not only sales..like billing for purchase orders or debit and credit memos...inter company invoices and is useful when you need information related to billing or to ageing analysis or working capital reports or debit credit reports and use it with the combination with FI extractors...
