Import Manager Aborts

Former Member

When loading the Mapping Document for an XML file import manager appears to process the file, then several seconds later a small dialog appears with the word 'Abort'. Once I've clicked on OK a windows dialog appears telling me that Import Manager has encountered a problem. Details of the error are below.

AppName: importmanager.exe AppVer: 5.5.63.87 ModName: importmanager.exe

ModVer: 5.5.63.87 Offset: 000af858

Futher details are available below. I'm not sure that the information is relevant but I've included it anyway. I;ve checked the Import Manager log but nothing was recorded at this time. I've searched SDN but can't find a similar problem. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Rob,

When loading the Mapping Document for an XML file import manager appears to process the file, then several seconds later a small dialog appears with the word 'Abort'.

What are you exactly trying to do when you get this error.

Are you trying to open an existing import map?

The error might be due to the lack of memory to load the map or exisiting data.

Have u changed the repository model lately, adding certain fields?

Unload the repository and load it again.Try updating it too.

Try opening the import manager once again.

Also check for the exact version of the import manager that you are using. It should exactly match with the server version.Check also if te GUI has not get corrupted.

Hope it helps.

Thanks,

Minaz

Hi, unknown to me it appears some changes were made to the model and the map. I'll close this thread now but thanks for the responses.

Hi Rob,

AppName: importmanager.exe AppVer: 5.5.63.87 ModName: importmanager.exe

ModVer: 5.5.63.87 Offset: 000af858

Try verifying your Import Manager version with the MDM server version for a correct match. The Import manager exe file may be of a differnt version that the MDM server you are trying to use.

You can check the Import manager version by:

- Open Import manager>Menu options (Help)>About Import manager

- You will be able to view the Exact Version in terms of the Support patch and hot fix

You can check the MDM server version by:

- Open console>click on the Mounted MDM server>Record deatils pane in the right hand side you will be able to view the MDM server version.

These two version must match for your IM to function correctly.

If there is no version mistmatch then try the below:

Try Verifying and repairing your Repository in MDM console by using the context menu on the rep.And after repairing your rep try unmounting and mounting the rep again then load it with Update Indices and then try working with the IM.

If this to does'nt work then take an Archive of the Repository and Unarchive it with a new name and then try mounting and loading this rep.

Hope It Helped

Thanks & Regards
