Hi, Is there any difference between master recipe and Control recipe in Process manufacturing. pls explain.
Yadav,
Master recipe is basically a master data, which defines the Operation and Phase details(This includes the resource which would be used and the standard time) to manufacture a product, these details gets copied to the Process order and you can find this details in Operation Overview screen of the order.
In the master recipe we would define the Process Instructions and Control Recipe destinations.
Based on the defination of Process Instructions and Control Recipe destination, when the Process Order is released Control recipes are generated and sent to PCS(Process Control System). The control recipe would contain details of control parameters, text messages and set of information( which needs to be sent back to the process order(SAP))
