HANA 2.0 SP03 - Tenant DB and system DB login

Hi Experts,

there is a HANA 2.0 SP03 system.

does it have two databases and can we login separately into it from HANA studio.

1) Tenant DB ( with SYSTEM user)

2) system DB ( with SYSTEM user)

.......please clarify...how the login differs from HANA studio..

Not clear for what you are really asking for.

1) You have to know if you have a tenant DB beside the System DB on your HANA system.

2) Logon via HANA Studio -> you have to choose either to logon to the SystemDB or a Tenant DB (self-explanatory from my point of view).

Hello Daniel,

Yes, You need to login two time but first try to understand BASIC Concept of SYSTEMDB & TENANTDB.

1. SYSTEM DB: It contain the information about whole HANA Database and it's tanent.

2. Tenant DB: it contain the actual data of your system.

Btw, Florian explained you with screenshot regarding login method.

Yes it 2 databases with 2 SYSTEM user or you can say with separate users , As screen given by Florian you can login ,

Read the multi tenant database container slandered guide for more details and let us know if you need some more help,

for SYSTEMDB you select System database option ,
