can somebuddy explain the link between asset management & purchasing.We are in the process of implementing the AM module & for purchasing of assent what are the possible interlink b/w purchasing & AM

as per my experience we can assigne the material group to the asset calass.This will restrict the choosing the particular asset call with to material group.

Hi,

While creating a PO you can use account assignment category as "asset" so that the posting would happen directly to asset.

another intergration b/w AM & MM is : deprication for Asset starts from the moment once we do the GR of assets purchased ( by default)

morover while raising the PO you may choose the account assingment as "asset" so posting would happen to seperate asset accounts
